Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving at the deer lease. We had tons of good food and fun. Cori went hunting for the first time with her daddy. It was so funny - I asked Cori if she wanted to go hunting with Daddy and she said "I no have no gun". It cracked me up!! David, Cori and I all loaded into David's hunting truck and started out to the field. We had not even made it through the first few gates and Cori was ASLEEP. She had not taken a nap because she was having so much fun so she konked out at 4:00. David dropped me off in a deer stand and Cori and him went on down the road to hunt. He stayed in an area where I could see through the binoculars what was going on in the stand which is welded on top of David's hunting truck. They finally got themselves situated for the big hunt and of course Cori had to go potty. So, David had her pee in the stand and it went into the bed of his truck - she thought she was so cool! They saw lots of "birdies" and "moo moo cows" but no deer. IMAGINE THAT!!! She had a great time and I love seeing her and her daddy spend quality time together like that. Thanksgiving night I went hunting and shot a doe. We brought the doe into camp and Cori wanted NOTHING to do with it!! So much for being my hunter girl - maybe next year!!

HORRAY!!!

I am going to write this and try not to jinx myself. Alot of you don't know that Cori had been sleeping in bed with us for a while until we got her big girl bed - did you think I was going to admit to that!! Anyways, I am please to announce that two nights in a row she has slept in her bed ALL NIGHT long!! The first week she woke up around 3:00 like clockwork - it was crazy. Then she moved to 4 then 4:30 then 5, etc. Thursday morning she woke me up at 7:45 and this morning was at 7:30!! YEAH!!! It is so nice to have your bed back to yourself.

Our house got broken into last week so David wanted her to sleep in bed with us again because it was scary, but we ended up putting her in her room and we were all fine. I only got up like 5 times to check on her because I could not sleep!! I kept replaying all of the craziness with the police and detectives that were at our house!!

If I don't get back on - hope you all have a great Turkey Day and I will post some photos of Camo Cori if we go to the deer lease!!

First Post

I am going to try this blog stuff out. I have never done this before so bear with me. I will be posting Halloween pics and how Cori Cantu Mermaid (this is the name she prefers to go by) did Trick or Treating. Until then....
